Pilot Medical Update: Round 3

The Sydney Roosters have provided a medical update following their Round 3 clash against the South Sydney Rabbitohs.

Young gun Sam Walker was forced off the field after suffering a category one concussion.

After passing two Head Injury Assessments and showing no symptoms, the NRL has downgraded it to a category two, allowing him to lace up his boots for the upcoming showdown with the Penrith Panthers.

Meanwhile, Lindsay Collins has been diagnosed with a low-grade left hamstring strain following an MRI.

The hard-hitting forward has already begun his hamstring rehab program in hopes of a speedy recovery.

On the injury front, Sandon Smith experienced an elbow hyperextension just before the break.

Unfortunately, scans have revealed a significant medial ligament injury to his left elbow.

The medical staff are working on his rehab plan and will monitor his progress for a potential return to action.

In the NSW Cup, Billy Smith suffered an ankle injury, with scans showing a small cartilage issue alongside his existing lateral ligament injury.

Surgery will be required to further assess the damage and make any necessary repairs.

Fortunately, no other players picked up any significant injuries during the match, giving the Roosters some much-needed relief as they prepare for the challenges ahead.
