The Sydney Roosters senior representative teams suffered defeat in their Round 7 clashes with the Penrith Panthers on Friday.
The Roosters' NSW Cup team lost 32-6, with fullback Owen Flaherty leaving the game due to a groin injury.
Despite the setback, there were no excuses made for the loss as the Panthers controlled the game.
The Roosters missed a chance to bounce back when Panthers' player Jack Cole was sin-binned, but a costly error led to a Panthers try.
Tom Rodwell scored the lone try for the Roosters, continuing his strong season with his sixth try in seven games.
Rodwell also led in metres gained, running for 180 metres.
Captain Max McCathie recorded 40 tackles in the match.
The defeat was a disappointing result for the Roosters, who will need to regroup for their next game.
