The Sydney Roosters NSW Cup team marked a strong comeback with a 46-26 win against the Canberra Raiders in Round 13, following a difficult 54-0 loss to Newtown.
Key players returning from NRL duty included Ethan King, Taylor Losalu, Makahesi Makatoa, Zach Dockar-Clay, and Xavier Va'a, along with halfback Chad Townsend, who was back from injury.
This infusion of talent significantly impacted the game, leading to the Roosters scoring nine tries against the Raiders' four.
Outstanding performances included left winger Tom Rodwell, who scored four tries, bringing his season total to 13 from 12 games.
Rodwell was joined on the scoresheet by three Central Coast juniors-Tyler Moriaty and Owen Flaherty from Terrigal Sharks, and Jake Elliott from Erina Eagles-alongside right winger Trey Peni and right centre Ben Johnson.
At halftime, the Roosters were ahead 28-6.
However, the Raiders surged back, scoring three quick tries that narrowed the Roosters' lead to just eight points at 32-24.
Rodwell's late-game performance, including three additional tries, secured the victory and showcased his impressive first season at the club.
His performance has sparked speculation about a potential NRL debut later in 2025.
