The Roosters junior representative sides had a weekend of highs and lows, with four wins and three losses across seven teams.

The Sydney Roosters S.G.

Ball Cup team maintained their position in the Top 6 with a crucial 25-14 victory over Cronulla-Sutherland at Cronulla.

Despite missing key players like forwards Peter Benjamin Uini, Itulu Seve, and Eddy Cayless, as well as fullback Rex Bassingthwaite (out for the season), the Roosters faced a tough challenge against the Sharks.

Adding to the challenge, outside backs Jackson Stewart and Lui Lee were also ruled out late in the week, leaving the team shorthanded against a strong opponent.

Props Phillip Lavakeiaho and Kanaan Magale knew they needed to step up in the absence of Uini and Seve, and they delivered with early tries to give the Roosters a 12-0 lead within the first eight minutes.

However, a setback occurred when star halfback Toby Rodwell had to leave the field for an HIA at the 15-minute mark, allowing the Sharks to narrow the gap to 12-6.

Fortunately, Rodwell returned and made a crucial play just before half time, kicking a phenomenal 40/20 and following it up with a field goal to secure a 13-6 lead at the break.

Rodwell's impact on the game highlighted the potential he possesses for the future, generating excitement among fans and teammates alike.

The second half saw both teams score two tries each, with Roosters interchange forward Kynan Toevai and hooker Jaxson Allen adding to the Roosters' tally.

Five-eighth Tyson Walker, making his return to the side, contributed four successful conversions to seal a 25-14 victory for the Roosters.

The resilience and determination displayed by the Roosters in the face of adversity are reminiscent of the club's storied history, reflecting the spirit of champions on the rise.
