Roosters Hooker Targeting Manly Move

LeagueNews.co | Cooper McEnroe

The Manly Sea Eagles have been relatively quiet in the transfer market, much to the disappointment of fans, especially with nine players on their way out. However, the club is eager to rejuvenate the roster with new talent.

While the team's core lineup, including Tom Trbojevic, Luke Brooks, and new signing Jamal Fogarty from the Canberra Raiders, appears secure, the Sea Eagles are looking to secure a hooker for the 2026 season.

The 30-year-old player is anticipated to sign a two-year contract with the club, addressing a crucial utility shortage in their ranks.

Although he is not expected to be the primary option for the No. 9 jersey, Dockar-Clay's experience and adaptability are seen as valuable assets for the team's lineup.

In recent seasons, the Sea Eagles have faced challenges concerning speed in the middle area. Dockar-Clay, weighing under 90kg and measuring 171cm, brings a smaller build that can balance well with the team's robust pack.

An official announcement regarding his signing is expected soon.
