The Sydney Roosters have secured young forward Naufahu Whyte with a long-term contract extension, as reported by zerotackle.com.
After making his debut for the New Zealand Kiwis in last year's Pacific Championships, Whyte has significantly enhanced his performance over the past two seasons.
At just 23 years old, he is now recognized as a key player in the Roosters' forward pack, especially following the recent departures of notable players such as Terrell May and veteran Jared Waerea-Hargreaves.
Whyte's new three-year deal ensures he will remain with the Roosters until the end of the 2029 NRL season, effectively ruling out any potential interest from the Perth Bears.
Expressing his commitment, Whyte stated, "The Roosters have been my home since I moved over from Auckland as a teenager."
