Roosters fly high, but one takes a new wing

LeagueNews.co | Jess Malloy

The Sydney Roosters are poised to lose promising winger Tyreece Tait, a U19s QLD Maroons representative, reportedly in a mid-season player swap.

According to zerotackle.com, Tait, likened to Josh Addo-Carr for his "elite speed and quickness," was viewed as one of the club's top prospects and was under contract until 2027, which would have facilitated his ascension to the club's Top 30 roster.

Tait is seen as a potential successor to veteran Daniel Tupou for the wing position as he matures.

Having last played for the Roosters' NSW Cup side in May, Tait has been in Queensland recently due to family matters.

The Daily Telegraph has reported that Tait will join The Dolphins, while Junior Tupou will move to the Roosters in the exchange.
