Rhyse Martin holds the world record for consecutive goals kicked, with 41 in a row.
The 33-year-old is retiring at the end of the year after announcing his decision in May.
PNG fans farewelled him on home soil after the Kumuls lost 64-6 to Samoa in Port Moresby last weekend.
The match was Martin's 23rd Test for PNG and his final appearance for the Kumuls in his home country.
"It's a tough one after that result but it's my last game I get to play for my country in front of these fans," Martin said after the game through tears.
He will play his final career match against England in Wollongong on Friday night.
The Roosters signed Martin as a teenager in 2010, but his NRL debut came with Canterbury in 2018.
He played 25 games for the Bulldogs across 2018 and 2019, then moved to England, where he made 132 appearances for Leeds Rhinos from 2019 to 2024.
Martin played 43 times for Hull KR in 2025 and 2026, and was part of the Hull side that won the Challenge Cup, League Leaders' Shield and Super League Trophy in 2025.
In February, he helped Hull beat the Brisbane Broncos in the World Club Challenge.
Martin has taken a football operations manager role with the PNG Chiefs, where Willie Peters is the new coach.
Fans have shared tributes online following his farewell, celebrating his contributions to Hull and the Kumuls.
