‘If you find out, tell me’: Reed Mahoney still in the dark over Bulldogs exit

Reed Mahoney, who was relegated to the bench during the latter part of last season and subsequently released from his contract with the Bulldogs despite having a year left, expressed his confusion regarding the reasons for his exit from Canterbury.

"If you find out, tell me," the hooker remarked with a smile on Thursday.

He reflected on his experience, saying, "I'm not sure. Everyone has their own opinion. I won't say too much. We were going really well … it was what was best for the team at the time, which is fine. I do know it was the toughest part of my career at that stage."

While the Bulldogs were performing strongly within the top four, Mahoney was granted permission to search for a new club midway through last year and was swiftly signed by North Queensland.
