The Dolphins NRL website is abuzz with news of Hammer and Kaufusi making their return for Origin game 2.

The superstar fullback Reece Walsh will be back in action for the Maroons in Game Two of the Ampol State of Origin series, with Queensland coach Billy Slater revealing his team for the upcoming clash in Melbourne on June 26.

Walsh, who has been sidelined due to concussion protocols since his head knock in Game One courtesy of Joseph Sua'ali'i's high tackle, is raring to go for the Maroons after missing the past two weeks of club action.

His comeback at fullback is a game-changer for the Maroons, especially with Selwyn Cobbo out for Game Two.

Cobbo, who put in a solid 73-minute shift in the backline off the bench in Game One, will be replaced by Kurt Capewell, who is returning to the side as a bench utility.

The Maroons will also be without J'maine Hopgood, who is nursing a back injury that saw him miss the Eels' recent clash against the Roosters.

In his absence, veteran forward Felise Kaufusi is gearing up for his 16th Origin appearance after being named on the bench.

Adding to the mix is Dane Gagai, a seasoned campaigner who represented the Maroons in 22 games from 2015 to 2022, making a comeback as the 18th Man.

Meanwhile, Heilum Luki and Trent Loiero have found a spot in the extended squad as reserves, ready to step up if needed on game day.
