In a straightforward manner, Raiders legend Jason Croker stated that "records are made to be broken" as he prepares to hand over the title of the most capped player for the Canberra Raiders to Josh Papalii.

According to nrl.com.au, Papalii tied with Croker at 318 games when the Raiders defeated the Roosters 20-18 on Sunday night.

He will take sole ownership of the record this weekend, fittingly at home in GIO Stadium.

The transition will occur during Round 14 when the Raiders face the Rabbitohs.

Although Croker finds the moment bittersweet, he expresses pride in passing the baton to one of the sport's great enforcers.
