With the St George Illawarra Dragons looking to offload several contracted players, winger Mikaele Ravalawa is poised to switch teams for the 2026 season. The Dragons have been undergoing a roster revamp since Shane Flanagan took over as head coach, as they aim to break away from recent low standings and vie for a spot in the NRL Finals.

As part of their plans, the club will see the departures of Jack de Belin and Sione Finau at the end of the season to the Eels and Raiders, respectively. This move aims to clear room within their Top 30 roster, allowing the club to pursue high-profile, lucrative signings in the near future.

Currently on loan at the South Sydney Rabbitohs until the conclusion of the 2025 season, Ravalawa was meant to return to the Dragons next year, as he is under contract until the close of 2026. However, recent reports indicate that he is likely to make an overseas move, joining the Castleford Tigers in the Super League.

Having been linked to a Super League transition for a while, the five-time Fijian international has played 101 first-grade matches since making his debut with the Dragons in 2019, contributing to his growing reputation in the sport.
