Raiders show claws against Panthers in NSW Cup

NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg: Round 19 Wrap

LeagueNews.co | Jess Malloy

The lads over at raiders.com.au have dished out a juicy serving of NSW Cup & Jersey Flegg Round 19 action for us.

The Raiders squads faced off against the Penrith Panthers at BlueBet Stadium on Saturday, and let's just say, it was a real barnburner of a match.

In a clash that had fans on the edge of their seats, both sides managed to dot down four tries each; however, it was a clutch Mitch Henderson penalty goal in the dying minutes of the first half that ultimately sealed the deal for the Raiders.

Captain Hohepa Puru was an absolute workhorse out on the field, racking up a whopping 38 tackles and even managing to bag a cheeky try of his own.

Meanwhile, James Schiller bounced back from missing last week's game against the Knights by finding the tryline as well.

With this gutsy win under their belts, the green machine is now gearing up for a blockbuster showdown against the North Sydney Bears next weekend at Raiders Belconnen.

It's gonna be a battle of the titans, and you can bet your bottom dollar that these boys will be leaving it all out on the field.

Bring on the footy frenzy!
