Raiders rise, but slips could sink September dreams

The Canberra Raiders are currently seen as favorites for the minor premiership, thanks to their strong performance during the State of Origin period, which can often create unpredictable outcomes in the NRL.

According to zerotackle.com, while some teams thrive, others struggle with player fatigue and travel demands.

The Raiders, surprisingly high on the ladder, have managed to avoid significant player absences thus far.

However, the team's rigorous early season schedule may finally be taking its toll.

Notably, they didn't receive their first bye until Round 15, forcing them to endure a grueling run over the first 14 weeks.

During this stretch, they traveled extensively, visiting locations such as Las Vegas, Townsville, Darwin, the Gold Coast, Brisbane, and Auckland, in addition to making multiple trips to Sydney.

This challenging schedule could lead to concerns about their stamina as the season progresses, especially with September playoffs looming.

If they can't maintain their form and manage fatigue effectively, their chances for success in the postseason could be jeopardized.
