The Canberra Raiders have announced a new approach to their leadership and culture for the upcoming season and beyond.
With the loss of several experienced players in the next year, the club saw this as an opportunity to revamp their leadership structure.
Former manager Chris Horsley was credited with establishing the current framework for leadership and culture within the club.
The club underwent an extensive consultation process, seeking input from other elite sporting codes and leadership consultants.
This process involved three stages: evaluating current arrangements, intensive leadership workshops, and identifying the club's operating rhythm.
As a result, the club has appointed former player Alan Tongue as the new Leadership Manager.
Tongue, a well-respected past player, will oversee the leadership group and work with the head coach to develop and maintain the team's leadership.
