The Canberra Raiders have been fortunate to witness a number of NRL legends emerge in recent years, particularly during the Ricky Stuart era. Among these well-known figures, one player has remained relatively underrated.

That player is Jordan Rapana, a true icon in Canberra and a beloved figure among Raiders supporters.

Rapana, who most recently played for Hull F.C., has officially announced his retirement from rugby league, bringing an end to an illustrious career.

He acknowledged that the choice to retire was challenging, but he feels ready to embrace the next chapter of his life.

"It's a really tough decision, but one that I know is the right decision," he stated.

Rapana reflected on how his body has begun to reach its limits, indicating that at 36 years old, retirement was the right step.

"I've played my whole career being really competitive, and that has taken its toll on my body," Rapana noted.
