The Canberra Raiders are set to kick off their 2025 NRL campaign with a showdown against the New Zealand Warriors at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas this Sunday, with a record crowd expected to be in attendance.
"Just like a well-oiled machine, the Raiders are ready to hit the ground running once again this season.
We've only dropped one round one game since 2019," said Raiders coach, Ricky Stuart.
On the other hand, the Warriors faced difficulties on the road in 2024, managing to secure just four wins out of 13 games played outside of New Zealand.
"Warriors supporters are hoping that the addition of James Fisher-Harris will help fill the void left by the departures of Addin Fonua-Blake, Tohu Harris, and especially Shaun Johnson.
It's a big challenge," said Warriors head coach.
The last time these two teams faced off was in round 20 of the 2024 season, where the Raiders emerged victorious with a close 20-18 win at GIO Stadium in Canberra.
"It's always a tough battle when we come up against the Warriors.
They're a formidable opponent, but we're prepared to give it the all and fight for the win," said Raiders captain.
