The Canberra Raiders have announced the extension of their partnership with Mounties for another two years, aimed at further enhancing their women's pathways programs.
This collaboration began before the Raiders' inaugural NRLW season in 2023 and has provided critical opportunities for players to hone their skills in New South Wales' premier women's competition.
Historically, the Raiders have a long-standing connection with Mounties, previously collaborating from 2012 to 2020 within the NSW Cup competition.
Notably, eight players who have represented the Raiders in the NRLW started their careers at Mounties.
In preparation for the upcoming 2024 NRLW season, ten players from the Raiders' squad spent time playing for Mounties last season, benefiting from the arrangement to aid in recovery from injuries and ensure continued game time.
Additionally, Sydney-based Raiders NRLW players have engaged in training sessions with the Mounties Harvey Norman NSW Women's Premiership squad in recent months, getting ready for the NRLW pre-season starting in May.
