The Canberra Raiders are currently positioned to secure their first minor premiership since 1990, following a recent victory and a two-point lead over second place after the Bulldogs' loss to Brisbane.

With a bye this weekend and another in Round 24, they are in a strong position, marking a historic moment as they haven't topped the premiership ladder after 18 rounds since the NRL's inception in 1998.

The Raiders' previous minor premiership win came in 1990, a season highlighted by legends such as Mal Meninga, Ricky Stuart, Laurie Daley, and Bradley Clyde, who propelled the club to consecutive grand final victories.

Under Stuart's coaching, the Raiders have fostered a culture centered on "resilience, accountability and genuine belief in one another." However, the team's leaders emphasize that their journey is not finished, with a clear message: "We've got big targets."

As they strive to achieve their goals, the Raiders remain focused on the challenges ahead, determined to solidify their place in NRL history.
