The South Sydney Rabbitohs have secured a promising outside back from the Brisbane Broncos' pathways system as part of their strategy to build for the future.
According to reports from Zero Tackle, Dean Tauaa, who has been playing for the Brisbane Broncos in the Under-20s NRLQ competition, attracted interest from the Newcastle Knights before ultimately agreeing to join the Rabbitohs.
Tauaa is known for his exceptional speed, power, and footwork.
He recently had a successful season in the Mal Meninga Cup and has been impressive in the Langer Trophy while playing for Mabel Park.
Additionally, he has been named to the Under-17s Queensland City side, and he is expected to compete in the SG Ball Cup next season with hopes of advancing through the Rabbitohs' ranks.
Tauaa's addition to the team will also see him play alongside Phillip Lavakeiaho, a front-rower from the Sydney Roosters who contributed to the Rabbitohs' SG Ball Cup premiership-winning side.
