The South Sydney Rabbitohs have officially expressed their support for a petition advocating for the club's return to the Sydney Football Stadium.

According to reports from zerotackle.com, a resolution in the ongoing conflict with Venues NSW and the State Government may be forthcoming, with plans for the Rabbitohs to fully relocate back to the Football Stadium next year.

The club's move to Homebush in 2005 has been marked by disappointment, particularly due to unfulfilled promises regarding renovations to the Olympic Stadium which was intended to become a 70,000-seat rectangular venue.

The Rabbitohs have made it clear that they wish to return to the Moore Park venue after its reconstruction, despite opposition from the Sydney Roosters.

In their statement, the club emphasized the benefits of the move: "We strongly believe a move to Allianz Stadium will allow us to provide Members, fans and sponsors with an enhanced game-day experience, premium facilities, improved transport access, and central proximity for the supporter base, returning to the Heartland in South Sydney."
