The South Sydney Rabbitohs are facing ongoing injury challenges, as Jye Gray and Peter Mamouzelos both sustained injuries during their Saturday loss to the Newcastle Knights.
According to zerotackle.com, Mamouzelos, who had been excelling in the starting dummy-half role since Damien Cook's departure, suffered a dislocated elbow, resulting in his exit from the game with two trainers.
Rabbitohs coach Wayne Bennett commented, "He has got a dislocated elbow, and they can't get it back in right now, so he's in a fair bit of pain actually." Earlier in the match, fullback Jye Gray left the field with a corked quad.
Bennett indicated that Gray is unlikely to play against the Brisbane Broncos on Friday night.
Currently, Latrell Mitchell is expected to be the only player returning to the lineup for Round 10, as the team's injury list continues to grow.
