The South Sydney Rabbitohs have decided to give one of their outside backs a promotion to the Top 30 squad for the rest of the season, according to a report by sports news outlet Zero Tackle.
After featuring in seven games already this season, Richie Kennar has earned himself a spot in the Top 30 squad for the remainder of the year.
Kennar, who can play on the wing or in the centres, has been a key player for the Rabbitohs in recent seasons and has stepped up this year due to injuries to Isaiah Tass, Campbell Graham, and Tyrone Munro - all of whom are out for the rest of the season.
A seasoned NRL player, the Samoan-born Kennar has previously suited up for the Melbourne Storm, Canterbury Bulldogs, and Brisbane Broncos.
However, his future with the Rabbitohs beyond this season is up in the air as he is currently off-contract at the end of the 2024 NRL season.
The Rabbitohs are hoping that Kennar's speed and skill will continue to be an asset as they push for success in the remaining games of the season.
