Rabbitohs hook future with Garlick's 2026 catch

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have confirmed the signing of hooker Bronson Garlick from the Melbourne Storm, effective at the start of the 2026 NRL season.

As reported by zerotackle.com, Garlick has been with the Storm since early 2022, making 33 appearances for the club thus far.

As a backup to Harry Grant, Garlick has stepped up due to Grant's injuries this year and is expected to play more during the upcoming State of Origin period.

He will also be available to come off the bench in the latter part of the season and into the finals if Grant is fit.

Garlick, who premiered in Round 1 of 2023, has signed a two-year deal with South Sydney for the 2026 and 2027 seasons.

He will join Wayne Bennett's Top 30 and adds depth to the dummy half position.

Currently, Peter Mamouzelos serves as the club's first choice number nine, but with Brandon Smith joining recently and Garlick on board for 2026, it raises the likelihood that one of these players may not make the regular 17-man squad under Bennett.
