Adam Quinlan, a former fullback for the St George Illawarra Dragons, has secured a head coaching position for the 2026 season.

Having last played in the NRL in 2016, Quinlan is now the head coach of the Queanbeyan Kangaroos, who participate in the Canberra Raiders Cup.

His appointment follows the Kangaroos' close call in the 2025 grand final, where they fell just two points short of the title, losing 28-26 to the Queanbeyan Blues.

"Please join with us in congratulating and warmly welcoming the newly appointed 2026 First Grade Coach - Adam Quinlan," a statement from the Kangaroos read.

"Adam needs no introduction. A former NRL player with over 100 first-grade appearances for St George Dragons, St Helens and Hull Kingston Rovers."

"Adam brings the perfect blend of elite experience, leadership, and work ethic. Welcome Adam!"

Quinlan's playing career included three seasons in the NRL with the Dragons, over two stints, where he scored nine tries in 29 games.
