A journey up north to Townsville for the State of Origin decider might have the Sky Blues feeling a bit shaky, but they're actually looking forward to playing in their home away from home.
Winning a State of Origin series away from home is typically seen as a tough challenge, but for the women's team, home ground advantage hasn't proven to be much of a factor.
NSW star Jess Sergis is calling Townsville their "second home" and winning Game 3 there would be the "pinnacle" of her career.
Despite missing the opportunity to seal the series in front of a packed crowd in Newcastle, the Sky Blues are determined to bounce back after Queensland's late field goal in the last match.
The Maroons claimed victory in Sydney last year, but the Sky Blues managed to even the score in Townsville.
With the visiting team having won both games so far this series, NSW is feeling confident about their chances in the warmer northern climate.
"It's nice to be the underdogs because the pressure is off," Sergis commented, reflecting on her battle with cramps and thigh injuries in Game 2.
"We just can't seem to win in the own state, so we're taking the fight to Queensland to get the job done there.
"Townsville really does feel like a second home for us.
The weather is great, so we can relax by the pool, grab a coffee, and soak it all in before the big game."
