Redcliffe Dolphins fullback Trai Fuller and Wynnum Manly Seagulls second rower Shaniah Power have been recognized as the premier players in their respective competitions at the Queensland Rugby League awards.

Fuller was awarded the prestigious Petero Civoniceva Medal, which is given to the best and fairest player in the Hostplus Cup.

Power, on the other hand, received the Steph Hancock BMD Premiership Player of the Year award.

The QRL Awards lunch, held at Brisbane City Hall, saw the celebration of their remarkable achievements, attended by 350 guests.

Fuller, who hails from Eidsvold Eagles, had an outstanding season as an electric speedster, even scoring a remarkable try during his National Rugby League debut for The Dolphins.

With 22 points in the medal count, Fuller finished three points clear of Central Queensland Capras hooker Trey Brown and Burleigh Bears halfback Guy Hamilton, securing his victory.

The top five also included Papua New Guinea Hunters fullback Morea Morea with 18 points and Souths Logan Magpies fullback Tristan Sailor with 17 points.
