In a thrilling match in Perth, the Newcastle Knights staged a remarkable comeback to defeat the Dolphins 30-28 and secure their spot in the top eight for the first time since Round 6.
Despite trailing 22-12 with 30 minutes remaining, the Knights managed to score three tries in the final 27 minutes to secure the victory.
The team's captain, Kalyn Ponga, played a pivotal role in the comeback, scoring the opening try of the game with a long-range support run and setting up his team's final two tries with clutch plays.
Ponga also showcased his impressive running ability, accumulating 179 run metres from just 10 carries.
However, the Dolphins had their moments of brilliance as well, with Jamayne Isaako scoring a hat trick in just eight minutes to give his team a 14-6 advantage.
Despite their valiant efforts, the Dolphins were unable to match the Knights' class when the game was on the line.
The Knights' win extends their undefeated streak to five games and solidifies their position in the top eight.
