Joseph Manu will join the PNG Chiefs for their inaugural season after signing a two-year contract covering 2028 and 2029.
The two-time NRL premiership winner is currently playing rugby union with Racing 92 in France.
Manu becomes Chiefs Player #007, following Jarome Luai, Alex Johnston, Connor Watson, Matty Lees, Zac Lomax and Brian To'o.
Born in New Zealand with Māori and Cook Island heritage, Manu debuted in first grade in 2016 after representing the 2014 U/19 Commonwealth Games team and the 2015 Junior Kiwis.
He won the Roosters' U/18 competition in 2014 and U/20 title in 2016 before claiming NRL premierships in 2018 and 2019.
Manu scored 69 tries in 181 NRL matches, played 17 Tests for New Zealand and received the 2022 Golden Boot.
Chiefs CEO Lorna McPherson described the outside back as an important addition on and off the field.

General Manager - Football Michael Chammas said Manu would add attacking danger, versatility and experience.
