Emerging backrower Brendan Piakura has signed a new contract with the Brisbane Broncos, committing to the club until 2027.
The 21-year-old made a strong impression in the 2023 season, making 13 NRL appearances and showcasing his potential with 30 tackle busts, seven line breaks, and two tries.
Known for his damaging running game and brutal defensive shots, Piakura is focused on finding more consistency as he continues to develop in the coming seasons.
A graduate of the Broncos Academy, Piakura was already signed for the 2024 season, and his new contract extension solidifies his future with the club.
Piakura joins a number of teammates who have also committed to the Broncos' future, including Payne Haas, Pat Carrigan, and Reece Walsh.
