Peter V'landys, Chairman of the ARLC, is optimistic about the competitiveness of the new Perth-based team set to enter the NRL in 2027.
He believes this addition will help solidify rugby league as the leading sport in Australia and the Pacific.
According to nrl.com.au, V'landys stated that the inaugural chair of the Bears will be from Perth, along with two additional directors based there.
An announcement regarding a CEO, who is also expected to be from Perth, is anticipated soon.
NRL CEO Andrew Abdo highlighted that the introduction of the Bears is part of the league's global strategy, which encompasses teams in Australia, New Zealand, and Papua New Guinea, as well as annual games in Las Vegas.
