The Brisbane Broncos have announced that Hayze Perham will stay with the club until 2027.
Initially set to be a free agent at the end of this season, this versatile backline player can fill positions such as centre, wing, or fullback and has been on the sidelines for much of the year at Red Hill.
As the club braces for the departures of Grant Anderson and Gehamat Shibasaki, Perham may take on a larger role next season, especially with the team focusing on developing younger players like Antonio Verhoeven and Phillip Coates.
Perham joined the Broncos at the beginning of 2025, but an ACL injury sidelined him for the entirety of the previous year.
"I'm very happy, ever since I came to the club I've enjoyed every moment," Perham expressed regarding his contract extension.
"I was very lucky to have my family, support system, and the boys around me through that hard time [rehabilitating an ACL injury], it was a tough one but they made it enjoyable and I'm so grateful for them.
"The connection that the boys have here is very special and something that I hold pretty close to me, I enjoy every day, coming in and seeing them.
"I want to stay as healthy as I can, have a great pre-season and get back on the field in 2027 to make an impact… and make it back to finals.
This year, Perham has played five NRL games, making his return from injury in Round 7.
