Tiana Penitani has once again been crowned the NRLW Player of the Year, adding another accolade to her impressive collection of awards.

The fearless captain of the Sharks not only scooped up two Dally M trophies, but also secured her second consecutive Player of the Year title at the prestigious Porter Gallen Medal ceremony.

The 28-year-old Penitani, who has already made her mark by winning the Dally M Captain of the Year and Centre of the Year awards, emerged as the shining star among her teammates at the event held at Doltone House Sylvania.

Surrounded by over 350 players, officials, sponsors, and guests, she was celebrated for her outstanding contribution to the team throughout the 2024 season.

Facing tough competition from nominees like Ellie Johnston, Quincy Dodd, Emma Tonegato, and Brooke Anderson, Penitani's determination and skill set her apart as she claimed the NRLW Player of the Year title.

Her exceptional performance on the field, scoring seven tries in 10 matches and averaging 145 metres per game, has been instrumental in leading her team to the brink of victory.

As the Sharks gear up for a historic Grand Final showdown against the Roosters at Accor Stadium on Sunday, the stage is set for Penitani to etch her name in premiership history.

Her crucial try in the pivotal 14-0 win over the minor premiers Brisbane in the previous week has already showcased her leadership and ability to deliver under pressure.

In addition to her Player of the Year accolade, Penitani was also recognized as the NRLW Members' Players of the Year and received the esteemed NRLW Wellbeing & Education Excellence award.
