The Wigan Warriors have locked down their head coach, Matt Peet, for another seven years in a move that has sent shockwaves through the rugby league world.

Joined by former players turned assistant coaches, Sean O'Loughlin and Tommy Leuluai, the Warriors are set to dominate the field for years to come.

Since taking the reins in 2022, Peet has led the Warriors to victory in every major competition, solidifying his place as a master tactician and leader in the game.

From the Betfred Challenge Cup to the World Club Champions title, Peet's coaching prowess has brought home trophies and glory to the Wigan faithful.

With talks of contract negotiations swirling around the club, Peet couldn't be happier to commit to the Warriors long-term.

"With the vision that Kris and the new owner, Mike Danson, have in place, it was an offer I couldn't refuse.

We've been in talks for weeks, and I'm thrilled to have it all sorted," Peet said.

As the 2024 Betfred Super League season kicks off, fans can catch all the action live on Sky Sports as Peet, O'Loughlin, and Leuluai lead the charge for the Warriors' continued success on the field.
