In a quick review of Wests Tigers pathways teams in Round 3 of the NSWRL junior representative season, it is clear that three of their eight teams are performing exceptionally well.
Macarthur Wests Tigers, in particular, have been dominating in both the Andrew Johns and Laurie Daley Cup competitions, boasting an unbeaten record after securing two big wins against the Riverina Bulls.
Wests Magpies also have reason to celebrate, narrowly defeating the Newcastle Knights in the Harold Matthews Cup and remaining undefeated thus far.
However, the Magpies SG Ball Cup team faced their first defeat of the season.
The results were mixed for Wests Tigers' two junior women's teams, with the Under 17s pulling through for a victory against a fast-finishing Knights team in the Lisa Fiaola Cup, while the Under 19s suffered their third consecutive loss.
Additionally, the Balmain Tigers SG Ball team experienced a setback in the second half against the formidable Parramatta Eels, falling short after an initially close match at half time.
These results demonstrate the ups and downs that come with the unpredictable nature of Rugby League.
