Parker's whistle blows on Broncos' rumor mill

Corey Parker calls for unnamed figure to come forward over 'agenda-driven lies' about Broncos

Corey Parker has spoken out against recent claims regarding the Brisbane Broncos' struggles, labeling them as "agenda-driven lies" propagated by the media concerning the coaching methods of Michael Maguire.

This response comes after former player Greg Alexander harshly critiqued the Broncos' performance against Manly, suggesting that players were weak for having issues with Maguire's intense training regimen.

On SEN radio, Parker stated, "When someone says, 'I'm hearing whispers…', that's just code for 'I'm making a story up'." He emphasized that he hasn't found any evidence to support the idea that the team is being over-trained, dismissing the notion with, "The whole 'training is too hard' line is ridiculous.

Anyone who comes out and says training has been too hard, go and speak to the Penrith Panthers or the Melbourne Storm over the last two decades.

If it was easy, everyone would be doing it, right?"

Parker urged anyone spreading these rumors to "Put your name to it" and hinted at forthcoming revelations that might clarify the situation.

He expressed confidence that more information would emerge in the week ahead, asserting that the media's influence on public perception should not be underestimated.

Greg Alexander was similarly incredulous, calling out the potential complaints from players about Maguire, stating, "Cry me a river you little wusses.

If that is true, none of them deserve to be playing in the NRL." He characterized the Broncos' performance as woeful and rooted in deeper issues than just coaching style.

Both Parker's and Alexander's comments reflect a shared frustration with the narratives surrounding the Broncos and a belief that the team should rise above perceived challenges rather than resort to excuses.
