Last weekend, Melbourne Storm fans were overjoyed as Ryan Papenhuyzen made his long-awaited return to the field in the Queensland Cup.

After being away from the big stage for 384 days, the fullback showcased his classic Papenhuyzen form in front of a passionate crowd at Sunshine Coast Stadium.

His Melbourne teammates, including Captain Christian Welch, traveled north to support him from the sidelines.

However, fitting Papenhuyzen back into the NRL side will pose a challenge for the team.

Meanwhile, Nick Meaney, who made his debut for the Storm in Round 1 of 2022, has had a stellar season, scoring over 100 goals and 22 tries.

The potential of Papenhuyzen rejoining the Storm is an exciting prospect for the loyal Melbourne fans.
