Josh Papalii, the Canberra Raiders prop and recently recalled Queensland Maroons State of Origin player, has revealed a potential change in his future plans.
Initially, it was widely expected that he would move to the English Super League next year, as the Raiders were not expected to renew his contract and other NRL clubs showed little interest in signing him.
Papalii himself had been hesitant to play against the Raiders, where he has become a games record holder.
However, his recent impressive performances, coupled with the Raiders' top position on the ladder and his return to the State of Origin side, could lead to new opportunities for him in the NRL.
In a discussion with News Corp, Papalii stated, "I'm still unsure.
I feel like I still got a lot to offer as a player and as a mentor and just being an older head." This indicates he is open to continuing his NRL career despite previous assumptions about his future.
