The Panthers Women's team made an impressive debut, winning their first official match against the Dragons with a score of 32-4 at BEST Hub in a trial game.
This marked a significant step ahead of their inaugural NSW Women's Premiership season.
The Panthers exhibited dominant gameplay, scoring eight tries over four 20-minute quarters without any goal-kicking.
Key player Abigayle Vakatawase made a standout contribution by scoring a hat-trick, while her teammates Brooke Wilkins, Harmony Covacich, Chelsea Blankenstein, Georgia Flood, and Danica Talitonu also secured tries.
The team kicked off the scoring when five-eighth Claudia Bush teamed up with fullback Brooke Wilkins at a scrum, who then swiftly dodged the defense to score in the corner.
Following this, Wilkins assisted in another try, delivering a cut-out pass to Vakatawase, leading to her first try of the match.
The Panthers' collective performance demonstrated their readiness and cohesion as they prepare for the upcoming season.
