The Penrith Panthers suffered a 28-18 loss to the South Sydney Rabbitohs after a poor first half performance.

The Panthers were unable to recover from a 28-0 deficit at halftime, despite a strong comeback attempt.

Three players, Scott Sorensen, Trent Toelau, and Brian To'o, were forced off the field due to injuries, leaving the Panthers with just 14 players.

The Panthers' first half performance was plagued by errors, penalties, and low possession, with only six completed sets out of twelve.

The Rabbitohs capitalized on the Panthers' mistakes, scoring two tries within 10 minutes while Sorensen suffered a game-ending concussion.

The Panthers ultimately could only blame themselves for the disappointing result.
