Panthers' forwards eye greener pastures ahead

LeagueNews.co | Jason Patrick

Two forwards from the Penrith Panthers, Harrison Hassett and Mavrik Geyer, are reportedly attracting interest from several NRL teams as they enter the final stages of their current deals without contracts for the next season.

With the Panthers aiming for their fifth consecutive title this year, the team has made significant roster changes in recent seasons in order to remain competitive, while losing key players to rival clubs.

Notable players that have left include Charlie Staines, Jarome Luai, Matt Burton, Stephen Crichton, Spencer Leniu, Sunia Turuva, and Viliame Kikau.

Now, Hassett and Geyer, both products of the Panthers' pathways system, may soon join that list as they prepare to explore the open market for next season.
