In their home debut, the Penrith Panthers Women played to a 22-22 draw against the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the second round of the NSW Women's Premiership.

After a strong start to the season with an away victory over the Central Coast Roosters, the Panthers hosted their first match at the BEST Hub.

Initial struggles saw them fall behind, but they quickly turned the game around, scoring four tries within a stunning 13-minute period to lead 22-4.

Scorers included Jacinta Tui, Natalia Webb, Kahu Cassidy, and Harmony Covacich.

Despite their efforts, the Rabbitohs mounted a significant comeback in the second half to equalize.

Panthers halfback Claudia Bush nearly secured the win with a match-winning field goal, but the game ended in a draw, with neither team able to clinch victory.

Additionally, the match marked the senior debuts for four players: Dejah Tuliau, Chelsea Blankenstein, Jade Elford, and Mahinaarangi Rewi.

The Rabbitohs initially took advantage of an early Panthers error to score first, but Penrith's rapid response showcased their potential and tenacity.
