Panthers Allow Star to Explore New Opportunities

Panthers confirm four-time premiership star granted permission to speak with rivals — Whispers

Penrith Panthers have officially announced that Moses Leota, a four-time premiership champion, has been granted permission to explore other opportunities in the market.

This move allows Leota's management to engage with other teams well ahead of the November 1 deadline, when he was initially expected to negotiate.

A pivotal player in the Panthers' successful history, Leota has played 216 games for the team since his debut in 2016, also representing the New Zealand Kiwis in eight international Tests.

"This cohort of players have earned the right to determine their futures and we're happy to work with them to ensure everyone gets the right outcome," stated Penrith Panthers CEO Matt Cameron in an interview with CODE Sports.

He added, "Moses' manager came to us and asked for permission to test his value on the open market. Given Moses' service and loyalty to the club, we were happy to accommodate his request."
