NZ Warriors' record season earns honours

NZ Warriors sign former Bulldogs halfback

Wayde Egan and Erin Clark earned Dally M Team of the Year honours, with Clark named loose forward for the second consecutive season.

The awards recognised a record-setting 2026 campaign by the NZ Warriors, who finished level with Penrith atop the regular-season ladder.

They recorded 18 wins, six losses and 728 points, setting club season records for wins, fewest defeats and points scored; no team scored more.

Coach Andrew Webster collected his second Dally M Coach of the Year award in four seasons after taking the Warriors to the finals for the third time in four campaigns.

He prevailed over Penrith's Ivan Cleary and Newcastle's Justin Holbrook.

James Fisher-Harris was named Dally M Captain of the Year in his second season with the club, ahead of Penrith's Nathan Cleary and Newcastle's Kalyn Ponga.

Two weeks earlier, he had received the Warriors' Simon Mannering Medal, and he was also selected as a Dally M Team of the Year prop alongside Roosters and fellow Kiwi international Naufahu Whyte.

Taine Tuaupiki won Tackle of the Year for chasing down Manly Warringah's Jason Saab in the Warriors' 31-30 round 27 victory at Go Media Stadium.

Ivan Cleary claimed the Dally M Medal as the NRL's player of the year, while Warriors prop Jackson Ford placed seventh with 39 points despite missing 10 regular-season games.

In the NRLW awards, Warriors captain Apii Nicholls accepted the Provan-Summons Award for leading a haka honouring Broncos great Ali Brigginshaw at her farewell home game at Totally Workwear Stadium.

Warriors players and Brisbane's Māori players joined in the presentation.
