The Raiders website is abuzz with the latest update on the NSW Cup and Jersey Flegg competitions in their Round 17 Wrap.
The Raiders had an easy win in the Jersey Flegg Cup after returning from Auckland, while their NSW Cup side faced a tough loss against the Warriors in a nail-biting match on Saturday afternoon.
Raiders captain Hohepa Puru put on a stellar performance, showing his leadership skills with a whopping 45 tackles and 188 running metres throughout the match.
The Raiders found themselves playing catch-up right from the start as the Warriors came out with guns blazing, securing a solid 16-8 lead at halftime.
Both teams had to finish the game with a player short, as two Warriors players and one Raider were shown the door for some rough play.
Chevy Stewart managed to score a late try, but unfortunately, time ran out for the Raiders as the Warriors sealed the deal with a 24-18 win.
Looking forward, the Raiders NSW Cup team is geared up to bounce back in their next fixture against the Newcastle Knights, hoping to turn the tide in their favor.
