NRLW 2024: More Drama for the Broncos as Three Players Escape Suspension

The Match Review Committee (MRC) has handed down their verdict for the second round of the 2024 NRLW season, with four players finding themselves in hot water.

Leading the pack is Brisbane Broncos' Brianna Clark, who has been slapped with a Grade 1 Shoulder Charge and could be sidelined for 2-3 games due to it being her second offence.

Clark will sit out for two weeks if she pleads guilty early, but could face a three-game ban if she decides to challenge the charge and is unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, Aliyah Nasio (Roosters) and Shaniah Power (Cowboys) also received charges from Sunday's clashes, but will escape suspension if they accept the early guilty plea.

Not to be outdone, NSW Blues and Newcastle Knights NRLW sensation Jesse Southwell is facing a Grade 1 Dangerous Contact charge.

Southwell could receive just a warning if she pleads guilty early, but risks a one-game suspension if she chooses to contest the charge and loses.

It seems like the drama and controversies never cease in the fast-paced world of Rugby League, with players constantly walking the tightrope between aggression and discipline on the field.

But as they say, it's all part of the game.
