NRL's Off-Season Changes Spark Debate

No more robots. No more wrestlemania. Six agains can bring back NRL glory days

The NRL has introduced several rule changes during its off-season, and it's evident that set restarts have nearly doubled in the first two rounds compared to last season.

Do we have an excess of set restarts? Absolutely, yes.

However, I remain a strong supporter of the "six again" rule and its application-particularly with the increased enforcement for offsides and ruck infringements from the attacking team's 20-meter line all the way to the try line.

The game has a way of balancing itself out, and we will eventually find the right approach to officiating the ruck. I am also quite enthusiastic about the current crackdown, which has led to a staggering 67 percent rise in set restarts compared to last year, as it has revitalized the game.

This approach has allowed for a faster-paced contest, quicker play-the-balls, and more opportunities for creative players to shine on the field.
