NRL Star Shifts to Catalans for New Adventure

Veteran playmaker to depart NRL at season’s end; Warriors sign son of club legend — Daily

Newcastle Knights' playmaker Tyson Gamble is set to leave the NRL at the season's conclusion after securing a two-year deal with the Catalans Dragons for the 2027 and 2028 seasons.

Since making his debut in 2018, Gamble has participated in 70 NRL matches, representing teams like the Wests Tigers, Brisbane Broncos, and Knights. Now, he's preparing for a new chapter in his rugby league career.

"I'm so excited to pull the Catalan Dragons jersey on for the next two seasons," Gamble expressed in a statement.

"I'm grateful to the club for this opportunity and I hope I can do them and the fans proud!"

This overseas transition comes as he finds himself lower in the halves hierarchy at the Knights, leading to regular appearances in reserve grade rather than the top tier.

At 30 years old, it appears he has played his final first-grade match, as he aims to complete his playing days in the south of France.
