The NRL integrity unit is currently looking into an incident involving Wests Tigers players who reportedly made offensive gestures towards Canterbury fans during a match at CommBank Stadium.
Players Samuela Fainu, Sunia Turuva, Brent Naden, and Latu Fainu directed obscene hand gestures at the southern grandstand, which was occupied by a significant number of Bulldogs supporters.
After the game, Tigers centre and former Bulldogs player Naden shared a TikTok video where he repeated the gesture and shouted "f***ing dogs" at the camera. He has since deleted the post.
The Bulldogs, who have a dedicated Middle Eastern fan base, have contacted the NRL integrity unit about the incident, which is now under investigation. This incident followed a pre-game episode where star Bulldogs signing Lachlan Galvin faced verbal abuse from a fan.
Prior to kick-off, Tigers members and fans created a lengthy guard of honour for their players on the field, taking their time to vacate the area afterward.
