In Round 1 of the NRL season, there were some standout fantasy performances, with top scorers showcasing dominant forward play, impressive backline efforts, and even a rookie half making a mark.

The top five scorers from the round were highlighted, starting with Payne Haas from the Brisbane Broncos in their 50-14 win over the Sydney Roosters.

Haas had a huge fantasy score of 81 points in just 49 minutes of play.

Despite the limited game time, he made 22 tackles without a miss, notched nine tackle busts, four offloads, and ran for 165 metres.

He also added a try assist to his impressive performance, showing his well-rounded skills on the field.

The fact that Haas didn't need to play his usual big minutes due to Brisbane's dominance made his score even more impressive for Fantasy coaches.

In another game, the Manly Sea Eagles defeated the North Queensland Cowboys 42-12 at 4 Pines Park.

Daly Cherry-Evans delivered a stellar performance, earning 79 fantasy points.

He orchestrated Manly's attack with two try assists, while also making 19 tackles, two tackle busts, and 100 running metres.

Cherry-Evans showed why he is a valuable asset in NRL Fantasy with his ability to create scoring opportunities for his team.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs' Cody Walker also stood out in Round 1, contributing 78 fantasy points in their 26-18 victory over the Cronulla Sharks.

Walker put on a show with two tries, a try assist, 12 tackles, three tackle busts, and 150 running metres.

His dynamic playmaking skills and ability to find the try line make him a top pick for Fantasy coaches looking for consistent scoring potential.

Overall, Round 1 of the NRL season showcased some impressive fantasy performances from a mix of experienced stars and emerging talents, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.
